Meet Harry Coumnas; a Man Who Believes In Living Life to the Fullest After Fighting Against All Odds

The explicit challenges of life aren't supposed to paralyze you, rather they exist to bring out the best from you and enable you to discover who you are. Everyone faces tough situations in life, but it is all upon us whether we face them with a positive bent of mind or choose to be sad. These words are tough to believe at times but hearing them is how we must take our day, and seeing others prove it strengthens the belief of many even more!

Well, Harry Coumnas is one such person who has risen to success, battling against all odds is rock star snowboarder who earned gold during the Winter Paralympics. He has won several medals after competing for numerous competitions and has managed to surprise everyone around.  What’s surprising is that Harry had lost his kidney function and lower portion of both his legs at the age of twelve years after having Meningococcal meningitis. 

Fighting from the illness and returning to life to find positive opportunities after facing some of the most terrible struggles is something that we do not see many people experiencing. And, it's magnificent to see people like Harry Coumnas find out ways to take the passions of their life to the next level altogether.

During a recent interview with BBC News, Coumnas' positive attitude and focus shine when he talks about how the struggles have never taken him aback rather pushed him two steps further. "I've earned laurels and have had the chance of being around some of the most remarkable people like actors, dancers, and sports personalities. These legs have enabled me to accomplish grace, and I feel that I'm already a winner", says Harry Coumnas.

He has taken all possible steps to prove that the tests of life can't stop you if you're trying your best. In addition to being an amazing sportsperson, Harry runs an awesome organization that aims at helping people with physical disabilities and is always open to donations.
